Waste Management

a.       All foul water connections from individual houses are routed to the nearby open storm water stream after being treated by our Sewage Treatment Plant, which is situated behind the Gate House adjacent to the main Gate. The Government is in the process of installing a sewerage system on South Lantau which will eliminate the need for our sewage treatment plant. Currently the Government forecast Cheung Fu Street Sewerage completion date is about 2032 and will be kept under review.

b.       Toilets must not be used to flush away cloths and other materials, which might impair the action of our waste treatment disposal system.

c.       The garbage from each house is collected regularly by the Estate staff. To avoid infestation by rodents, it must be carefully wrapped and placed in dustbins outside individual houses, in a common area before 7:00 am each morning.
